The main ingredient in Kybella is a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps break down and absorb fat. Injections, with Kybella, in targeted areas permanently destroy fat cells and the area can no longer store or accumulate fat. Kybella treatments can result in a significant decrease in extra fullness under the chin.
