Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a cosmetic treatment that uses a chemical solution to improve the appearance of the skin by removing the top layers. The solution used in a chemical peel can be adjusted to target different depths of skin tissue and can be applied to the face, neck, chest, or hands. Chemical peels can treat a variety of skin concerns, including acne, scarring, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone.

The three types of chemical peels are superficial, medium, and deep. Superficial peels are the most gentle and are often called “lunchtime peels” because they can be done in less than an hour without downtime. Medium peels penetrate deeper than superficial peels and produce more visible results but require some downtime for recovery. Deep peels reach the deepest layers of skin and can be intense but produce the most dramatic results.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure that uses a sharp blade to scrape dead skin cells and peach fuzz from the face. This exfoliation process can leave skin feeling softer and provide a more even application of makeup and skincare products. During dermaplaning, the medical provider will hold the skin taut and scrape the sterile blade along the skin’s surface at a specific angle to slough away the dead skin cells and peach fuzz.

Dermaplaning can treat a variety of skin concerns, including acne scars, fine lines, and dull skin. The primary benefit of dermaplaning is that it’s incredibly gentle. Since the treatment doesn’t involve harsh chemicals, skincare products, or injections, it’s suitable for everyone, including pregnant women and individuals with sensitive skin. You can also undergo dermaplaning before a big event or photoshoot because there are no harsh side effects.

Microneedling with SkinPen

One of the newest and most popular skin rejuvenation treatments is microneedling with SkinPen. Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses very fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. This induces the skin to produce collagen and elastin, two proteins that are essential for healthy, youthful-looking skin. The gradual loss of collagen is primarily responsible for wrinkles and sunken facial features, but microneedling can restore your collagen levels to improve skin tone and texture.

Microneedling with the SkinPen device can improve a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and uneven skin tone. It can be performed on the face, neck, chest, back, arms and legs. Microneedling is a relatively simple procedure that can be performed in our office. During the procedure, we use the SkinPen device to create thousands of micro-channels on the skin’s surface to activate your body’s innate healing processes. The results appear gradually over several weeks.

Medical-Grade Skincare

Medical-grade skincare products are specially designed to address your skin concerns and improve the overall appearance of your skin. Medical-grade skincare products are held to a higher standard than over-the-counter skin care products. They are formulated with higher concentrations of active ingredients and are more effective at treating and preventing skin issues.

We offer medical-grade skincare products from SkinMedica, one of the country’s leading collections of dermatologist-approved skincare products. But not all medical-grade skincare products are created equal, and using the wrong product for your skin type can do more harm than good. We carefully analyze your skin type and conditions and offer the most appropriate skincare products with detailed instructions.
